Tetra Tech International Development (International Development Jobs – Tetra Tech) is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for Technical Specialist positions on a potential USAID-funded program in Senegal. The Ocean and Coastal Activity is anticipated to be a five-year program focused on fisheries management and biodiversity conservation in Senegal’s ocean and coastal ecosystems. These positions are anticipated to be based in Dakar, Senegal.

Tetra Tech seeks qualified Senegalese candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Fisheries management/governance
  • Marine biodiversity conservation
  • Coastal ecosystem adaptation and resilience
  • Market systems development
  • Institutional strengthening
  • Gender, youth, and social inclusion
  • Private sector engagement
  • Grants management
  • Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning
  • Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting
  • Communications

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum university degree or higher in a relevant area of expertise.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of relevant professional experience supporting development programs or similar technical work in Senegal or West Africa; experience with USAID/USG projects preferred.
  • Proven leadership, organizational and writing skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in French is required; professional fluency in English is an asset.
